Turn Two Battle Results:
Skirmish at Deathspire: Valii CL1 escapes with no damage.
Skirmish at Unimatrix: The Hive fleets blasts its 'greeting' over the frequencies heard by human ears as it begins to separate into two formations.
The Union CL1 immediately retreats as the two squadrons of fighters form into a single formation. The formation of fighters attempts to provide a distracting move to the Hive fleet, but can only effectively combat one side of the pincer. Due to the extreme numbers presented by the Hive fleet the fighters are quickly destroyed, but their superior nature led them to eliminate 1 squadron of Bombers and a CL1.
The Union CL1 continues to make its escape away from the battle, unaware the Hive fleet crosses the line of boarding craft dropped by the CL1. The boarding craft shoot towards the nearest CL2 and begin boarding operations.
However, as the machines burst forth from their boarding pods, the defenders knew that they didn't plan on surviving. They rampage throughout the ship destroying anything they can get their hands on. Eventually the group is whittled down to just a few survivors before they self-detonate in the core of the ship. The resulting detonation destroyed the Hive ship and a squad of interceptors that were a bit too close.
The Union ship begins to take fire from long range as it reaches the Jump node, the ship's armor is just about to buckle when it is able to make the jump into a friendly system
