Turn 11 Battle Results(Finally)
Deathspire Gambit
All is quiet along the blockaded Silent Reaches/Deathspire node, until shortly after the Remnant diplomatic ship enters Silent Reaches, the Valii force decides on a dangerous gambit, jumping 88 I, 38 F . 90 B, 10 CL3 and 10 CL4 into the system.
Awaiting them, arranged in a perfect spherical killzone is every defence platform in the Deathspire System, along with the combined Remnant and Imperium fleets arranged into several battle groups, who thanks to the diplomatic ship have a slight warning time.
The Valii fleet comes under fire almsot instantly, all thier Strike craft shutting off thier engines and sensors to devote every last ounce of power to thier engines as they make a break for deeper into the system. As the defence platforms and Imperium Cl 3's and up focus fire on the Valii capital ships, with the Remnant captials hanging back out of range, the combined Remnant/Imperium Strike craft move to try and contain the Valii strike craft in the Killzone backed up by the Imperium CL-2s.
Things don't go so well for the Valii capitals, there's just too much firepower slicing into thier hulls, within miniutes 6 CL-4's and 9 CL 3's are shattered, taking down only 3 Imperium CL-3s and the small defence platform for thier trouble, despirate to stall as much of the Imperium fleet as possible, the Valii jump another 10 CL3 and 10 CL4's into the killzone.
The vast strike craft gambit they're buying time for finally clears the initial killzone, having lost 32 I's, 26 F's and 20 B's. The remaining strikecraft rocket through towards the only other collection of stations in the system, persued by nearly 254 wings of joined strike craft, with CL-2's backing them up, though these begin to lag behind.
Back at the node, joint bomber wings begin striking at the floundering Valii captial ships, the Renant captial ships still hanging back, waiting for a deployment of hostile CL-5's that doesn't come, as thier striek craft are as far as they can get them, thier commanders order a withdrawl, 2 CL-4's and 3 CL-3's making it back to Silent Reaches.
Back with the strike craft, the Fighters and Interceptors peel back, desperatly engaging the superior hostile strike wings to buy thier bombers, taking down some hostiles, but ultimatly being cut to pieces.
The remianing bombers are unfortunatly cut to pices before they're able to fire a single shot at their target, the enemy production stations.
