New Technology: Rapid Spin weapons! Mounted on CL4s only. When activated, the CL4 will begin to Spin very fast. While spinning these guns will come out and shoot bits of Ionized Plasma and big Plutonium Slugs in all directions. This will decimate support ships and Fighters and will deal heavy damage to Capitalships.

NEW TECH Sentinel Drones: AI defence drones created to help neutralise incoming threats, the second-generation weapons platforms known as Sentinels mount batteries of 2 Warhammer flak launchers, 1 Maul torpedo pod, and 1 Bretonian Pulsar Torpedo launcher. Their refractive shielding and innovative skeletal design, along with the problems of tracking projectile trajectories in reverse, makes them very difficult to pinpoint, but a single missile can usually destroy them. These are not weapons so much as tools. Guild tactical policy has a great distaste for wasting these devices, so there are usually four per jump hole/gate and another four around stations. Additionally, each system contains a few 'Sentinel Overlords'. These are hardwired into the power supplies for the stations that they protect, and use their SCORPEON TIII and 10 light ARC anti-proton lances to devastating effect, while 10 Warhammer flak launchers fry fighters. Overlords lack the stealth abilities of their smaller cousins, but make up for it with sheer resilience. Unfortunately, their lack of onboard power supply means that they come in limited numbers; 1 per small station, 2 per large station. A 'Mk II' variant has been developed for planets, with its own power supply, but these are too expensive to be mass produced - six per planet is sufficient to provide all-round coverage, but not enough to produce overwhelming firepower. Will come into effect as of Turn Twelve.

Creator what do you, think? This sounds too much like Rheinland Space Combat Drone from 4?

Oh hell yes, its the Space combat drones all over again. Maybe a rule should be "No ships (Objects capable of moving and fighting) then those that are already listed. To me it seems he copied Codenames tech and just changed a few things.
Slam down on him with your admin generator....

What exactly is the difference between an object that is capable of moving and fighting, as long as it can't make intersystem jumps, and object that is capable of orbiting a planet/station and fighting? Apart from that about everyone has the second one (various orbital turrets), and it is generally assumed to carry more powerful weapons?

because in CYOF 4 codename had like 10.000 of his drones, he counted them as ships and a lot of problems ensued after a battle did not go in his favor (against me). Jacob said that his drones were illegal since he had not payed for them.
It is also a difference between objects that moves and those that are stationary, stationary can be avoided.
Their refractive shielding and innovative skeletal design, along with the problems of tracking projectile trajectories in reverse, makes them very difficult to pinpoint.
This just made them very hard to hit. no one has orbital cannons that are hard to hit
Sentinels are a lethal asset.
Weapon platforms are not lethal, they are taken out by one torpedo.
AI defence drones created to help neutralise incoming threats, Sentinels mount batteries of 6 Warhammer flak launchers, 3 Maul torpedo pods, and 2 Bretonian Pulsar Torpedo launchers
Isn't this a little too much weapons on a small fighter? If these come along with ships then his ships should cost more to manufacture since they have these. If they are a free standing unit then they have to have some sort of price. He can not just have them appear out of thin air.
All of this is still GB's decision but I personally think that tehy should not be allowed. For the same reason Codenames spade drones were not allowed.

*Points at Kobi's weapon platforms, but takes the point*
*and has never even heard of these defence drones of Codename's*

Technology breakthrough! Trait: Defensive Systems Technology: GOD Power Recyclators [/i][/ul] A huge downside of the Graviton Overcharge Defense shields was their huge energy consumption, that usually short-circuited their circuits, disabling them until manientance was done in dry dock. Now, the power can be recycled and drawn to other parts of the ship, not only protecting the GOD circuits, therefore allowing the shield to overcharge again after several minutes cooldown, but also allowing the overcharged state to last longer than before. Effect: Allows GOD shielding to be reused several times in battle. Enhances the GOD shielding duration. Used by: All ships equipped with GOD shielding.

Ya, I gonna say, Spike, it is a god mod. Its gotta go.
And LE, I've read the description of your CL4 and the weapons you have on it. The hyperspace weapon has got to go. Its too powerful and borders on the crossing the line of the parameters I set down.

Got to go completely, or can I have it if I lower the power slightly?
BTW, several meter large hole in a 15km capship isn't so much to be feared... and it can't hit more of them at once.

GB, I downgraded it. Are you moaning about the Overlords? If so, tell me.
If you still don't like it, then why does everyone else get weapons platforms?

Weapon platforms and defense drones are not the same thing

Different terms, same meaning. Look at the desc, for crying out loud. I'm not going to rename a tech - this is just petty.

LE lower the power.
Spike- Everyone can have platforms because they don't move. that can be dodged and avoided. Drones move in space like ships, even though its not an actual ship.
