Unencrypted broad-spectrum transmission from the Intruder in Polaris to Neuromancer station in Mona Lisa:
Our scans have revealed that you have attempted to conceal one of the beasts from us. This deception will not go unpunished. You have chosen to ally yourself with our enemies and now you will perish. Your fleets will be crushed, your bases destroyed, your planets burned. Your death cries shall be a warning to all others who would dare invoke the wrath of the Steel God.
We are not without mercy, however. If you wish to avoid annihilation at our hands, evacuate your people now. We are providing the coordinates of a refuge where you may settle and consider the folly of the actions that have led you to this fate. If you remain within the confines of the refuge, we shall allow you to survive. Should you choose to ignore this offer, there will be no respite, and we shall spare no effort to hunt you down wherever you may go.
(Attached to the message is a datastream containing the coordinates for Sys-17 and scan data of several class 0 planets.)

A message is sent back, rather quickly from the Neuromancer.
"We have concealed nothing. What 'beasts' are you talking about? There is nothing in our space we have not built ourselves. We are sure of this fact, and would invite a peaceful delegation to see for themselves. That being said, such brazen claims will not be agreed to, and such hostility will not be tolerated. If you seek a fight with us, then know we are ready to fight back against this unjust attack.
May your endeavors end in failure."

After a short delay, the Intruder responds, the transmission including the scans of the Neuromancer taken by Hound fleet beta when it passed through:
This facility is corrupted to its very core. The beast at its heart twists and corrupts all that you have built around it. You have become unwitting pawns to the beast, constructing a new body for it to hide in. Through you it will seek out its kin and reignite a war that will plunge the galaxy into darkness. This we cannot allow. If we must extinguish a billion innocent lives to end the threat of this single beast, so be it. Judgement day is upon you, and you have been found wanting.

The pause from the Union is longer this time, as if there is a debate going on behind the scenes. And indeed there is, but the answer, when it returns, is only a simple line.
"May your endeavors end in failure."

An encrypted message from Unimatrix 001 sounds on the Neuromancer and in the Slumberhold system
"We are the Hive. This escalation of conflicts between the one known as the "Steel God" and the Empire known as the Union has not effected us in anyway, thus our efficiency is preserved. However, you will not escalate these conflicts in any of the Unimatrix systems. You will not involve any Hive ship. Your opinions are irrelevant in this matter. Breach our terms and you will both be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

Much of our old leadership was destroyed in the battle. Things have changed. We are no longer the same people you fought.
Although we are at war, the offer for your safe passage to speak with us in our home was never rescinded.

(( Read the turn post first please. )) To the leaders of the Deathspire Imperium: We have been watching your fight with the Neo-Terran Republic, and we admit your victory. We have had our arguments with the Republic over the Regulus system as it is a vital strategic location. We will use this opportunity to claim the system. If you wish, we will escort your ships from Regulus back to the nearest Node to Deathspire territory, which is Sirenhold. If you refuse this, we are not afraid to engage them. Neither of the two major Valii houses, Immara nor Savaaik, is interested in any space north of Kamatto and Regulus, do as you please there. But even if you have defeated the Republic army, your forces are weakened and your soldiers tired. And while the Savaaik you have fought before are impulsive and reckless, House Immara has now joined the fight. Do not attempt to interfere further into Valii territory or to reinforce Regulus, or you will be met by the wrath of Immara fleet.

Your terms are acceptable. The forces obstructing the Regulus system have been ordered to stand down, and will pose no threat to you.
You are correct, the Imperium is tired. However, know that if you should consider attacking us, there is fight left in us. The worst crime in our laws is that of actively deceiving a foe by fighting under flag of truce. The vengeance that our duty demands we place upon any who breaks that law is terrible indeed.
But enough of threats and warnings. Our peoples are very different, and I think that perhaps we misunderstood each other when we first encountered each other. Perhaps we can help each other in times to come.

A signal is sent to Mona Lisa. But instead of the disembodied voice of the Hive collective, a human female appears, the Hive queen(see avatar)
"The Union I presume. This second incursion into Hive space has warranted my full attention. You are endangering my collective. So I am giving you a choice. One, Your ships will leave unimatirx 002 in .01 cycles(one turn) or Two, You ships stay in my space and warrant the assimilation of your people. The choice is yours. I expect your answer within one of your hours."

A return signal to the one sent by the Hive is quick in coming, deviating slightly from their normal time or discussing a response before sending one.
"Our scout is on a charting mission, and simply passing through your space. We ask for your pardon, and that you allow it to continue unhindered. Our destination lies in System 17, beyond your claims.
We are obligated to inform you, the Domain of the Steel God apparently considers all pre-Scattering technology and structures to be a as of yet unidentified "Beast." They have engaged our forces already, and without further explanation. They do not appear to be willing to negotiate. Be warned."

In the battle for your system, we grew an appreciation for you. We respected you as worthy foes, blessed by Deathspire.
Your cowardly attack under flag of truce has stripped that away. Deception and lies are the refuge of the weak.
You have demonstrated yourselves to be vermin. Vermin are not killed. They are exterminated.
Begin evacuating your world. This is your only warning. When we arrive, anything left will be burned to ashes.

Why do you fight for a system so far from your home that we have yet to find it? Omega Ceti is ours by right of blood and conquest. The inhabitants lost any right to it when they attacked under flag of truce, the worst crime in our laws.
If you wish to save the Neo-terran Republic, the best thing you can do is evacuate the people of Neo-terra. If you stand and fight for them, you will only earn a similar fate for your home.
Source: Deathspire System Target: Domain frigates
Why do you remain in our territory? You have evidently failed to find any trace of your 'Beasts'. The Imperium is at war, and a squadron of frigates with unknown intent in our home is not to our liking. Please leave our territory, or explain your intent.

<Message Begins>
Who are you to lecture Talos or our allies the Republic about the order of law? You who attacked our diplomatic vessels without warning or reason? You who firebombed Neo-Terra from orbit, killing countless thousands?
Talos fights against you simply because you have proven yourselves a threat to our security in this sector. You attack ships indiscriminately without cause, you seek to conquer our allies and neighbors, and you demonstrate your complete lack of regard for civilians and neutrals. We have chosen to fight you to prevent exactly what you threaten: that the Talos system will suffer the same fate as Omega Ceti.
Actions speak louder than words, and you have demonstrated already your hostile intent towards every other star nation in the area. We will neuter the threat that you pose, one way or another, even if we must dictate the terms of your unconditional surrender in Deathspire itself!

A widescale transmission is sent across the whole of Valiaan space. Everyone with a simple receiver can pick it up. It consists of a simple text message. Attached is a simple star map, indicating the claims and force deployments of the Coalition, and an ominous dark smudge over Imperium space. The transmission is sent as a pulse, designed to be impossible to respond to, but impossible to jam.
You would have been left alone. We agreed to your government's terms. You would have been allowed to thrive and prosper.
We are not monsters. Our home has made us a harsh people, but we are not without compassion. Cease your attack and we may yet be friends.
If you do not persuade your leaders to hold back, we will have no option but to become the monsters you may think of us. Do you genuinely believe that you can defeat us?
A stream of footage is shown, showing Valii forces swarming over a single frigate and its six interceptor escorts, and suffering greviously for it.
If one of our scouting parties can do that... how do you think you will fare against one of our full battlefleets?
Do you want to take that risk? Do you trust your leaders to send you into a war that could result in your conquest? A war undertaken for a people you do not know, who you owe nothing, who have nothing to offer in return? A people whose conflict with us is far more complex than simple aggression?
Fight with us, and we shall honour as our own and strengthen you. Fight against us, and you will burn.
Choose carefully, and consider who is the more honest. We, who never pretended to be anything other than aggressive and territorial, but have not broken a single promise or truce, or those among you who chose to forge a truce with us and broke it without warning, and their allies in the Neo-terran Republic who conducted an act of blatent terrorism under guard of diplomatic immunity. And the Talosians, who claim Omega Ceti as their own despite the fact that the Republic still has forces there.
Are those the allies you would choose? Dishonest cowards, who would use any advantage to attack you? Arrogant invaders, who would take your worlds for their own under pretence of defending you? Do you still believe your leaders are making the right choices?
Choose carefully, and soon. Soon, it will be too late. There will be no mercy for any who stand by the cowardly, dishonest actions of your military.
