Transmission from Polaris to Omega Ceti:
Greeting Sovereign Republic. The Domain seeks information. A convoy recently passed through your space, a fleet of enemy warships disguised under a flag of peace. We have lost contact with our hounds and do not wish to cause alarm by deploying predators into your space. We request any information you have on the current location or possible destination of the convoy.
Transmission from Slumberhold to Exaakon:
Greetings Savaaik of Valii. We must inform you of a possible threat to your space. We have had intermittent contact with a convoy of enemy warships that attacked us without provocation while our fleet was at rest in Polaris. This convoy was last seen near your borders, however we have since lost contact with our hounds and so can no longer monitor its progress. We do not wish to cause alarm by deploying predators into your space, and so should you locate this convoy, we request that you destroy it immediately. We are prepared to deploy our own ships to assist if you wish us to do so.
((Attached to both transmissions are scans of the Union convoy taken while it was in Polaris))

Transmission to Polaris from Omega Ceti:
We regret to inform you that our sensor logs have all been damaged or destroyed and our sensor grid is still being repaired, as such flights through our space have gone unrecorded, thus we are very sorry to say we have no information to share in regards to the convoy you seek.
We do however thank you for being understanding during this difficult time for the Republic.

We were unaware you were experiencing difficulty of your own. We will maintain open communication channels and inform you of any further developments. We advise you to be alert in case the convoy attempts to pass through your system to attack us again.

Open transmission through the jump node network from Slumberhold to all systems west of the Slumberhold-Polaris line:
In order to protect a number of project we are undertaking, the Domain is hereby declaring a quarantine of the galactic east. No ships other than those of the Domain or its allies will be permitted to enter the systems beyond Polaris or the Slumberhold until we rescind the quarantine order.
Any vessels other than diplomatic ships entering either Polaris or the Slumberhold will be ordered to turn around and leave. Failure to comply with this order will result in their destruction.
Once we have confirmation that the last of our enemies have been destroyed, we will re-open passage through our space. This overt action is against our nature, and in order to bring it to a swift conclusion, we are prepared to reward anyone who can bring us proof of our enemies destruction.
We must also remind you that anyone who is found to be aiding our enemies will be shown no mercy. The beasts will be hunted down no matter where they hide, and those who ally themselves against us will be crushed underfoot.

Another transmission is sent from the diplomatic vessel in the Silent Reaches. This one is directed towards the Valiaas, more so than the other two. Interestingly enough, the contact code shows it was sent to all three major political powers, rather than the Valiaas region of space in general.
"Your fleet has already suffered for your rash actions, leaders of the Valiaas peoples. Your position to negotiate in good faith will suffer more. Envoys from the Kingdom of Talos and the Neo-Terran Republic are already aboard. You have 24 hours to send your representative, or representatives as we realize you have several factions within your peoples. If no ambassador is sent, then you will be bound to whatever your allies decide, as they will speak for you in your absence. Consider this a final notification."

Transmission to: The Valii From: Rebuild Senate, Neo-Terra. Call off your attack at once! The whole reason we've been fighting this war is to -bring- the Imperium to the negotaing table, and now they're finally willing to give that you proceed to invade? Our reputation has been tarnished enough by idiots and thier knee jerk reactions like this. And this is coming from us, we who almost lost absolutly everything in the Imperium attack. Call your forces off. [Sent by: Sylvan Savaaik, second in the Savaaik bloodline and the diplomat assigned to Neo-Terran Republic.] It is too late now, Senator. Our forces have been dispatched through the Node and we no longer have contact with them. However, do not be mistaken, this is not an invasion force. Our ships are executing a precise strike to damage Deathspire war factories. Do not listen to their cry for mercy, they deserve none. I am sure you have received this message as well: They admit themselves that they will never stop their campaign. But when our ships return victorious, the Imperium will no longer be in a position to make threats. Their only option will be to surrender or to be conquered.
The ship that burst through the Deathspire node into the Silent Reaches was more than likely a bit of a shock. It wasn't a capital craft of any kind, nor even a strike craft. It was a transport, last seen trailing after a battlecruiser class ship heading into the Imperium's territory. Of course, it was already squawking as it re-entered normal space. "This is a diplomatic envoy! This is a diplomatic envoy! This vessel is to serve as the neutral ground for negotiations! Please advise a flight plan so we can gather the necessary dignitaries! Discussion will only proceed once all parties are represented!" [Sent by: Admiral Kivare Immara, in command of Immara forces in Silent Reaches.] - We have been observing the fate of your people in the East. We are willing to provide you with protection and a place to stay. However, we wish to remain neutral in your conflict, and as such, we will not join the fight to reclaim your lost homeworld. - Sir, incoming urgent transmission from the strike fleet.- Yes? - They have been engaged by unknown vessels: neither Deathspire nor Valii. We have not encountered a hull structure like that before!- What!? Who could that be! - The analysis is coming through right now... you won't like this, Sir. The ships seem to be made out of alloys identical to those of the transport ship docked with ISS Posemek.- But that's...! Envoy! Explain yourself! Why are your ships engaging Valii forces? We were willing to discuss with you, and you stab us in the back? These are not the actions of a dying people seeking refuge. It seems you have already gotten what you wanted from the Imperium. Unless you want to propose your unconditional surrender, you will be treated as Deathspire spies.

We have already encountered this convoy you speak of, and indeed their intentions appear hostile. But if the scans you provided are accurate, we should have no problem dealing with them on our own. If your fleet chooses to pursue this convoy anyway, we will not stand in your way.

[Sent by: Savaaik High Command] We acknowledge your claims, and no Valii vessel will interfere into your territory. If these Beasts you speak of are the convoy you warned us about earlier, we have no intentions to side with them, as they have made hostile moves against the Valiaas. We are willing to provide you with plenty of intelligence related to them and their current benefactors. Contact the High Command over a secure commlink.
From: Sylvan Savaaik, second in the Savaaik bloodline and first Savaaik interstellar diplomat. To: The Interstellar Kingdom of Talos Our conflict with the Deathspire has taken the wrong turn as our fleet has suffered heavy casualties. We have been attacked by both Deathspire and their new alllies, calling themselves the Shattered Remnant. We ask you for help in reinforcing our defenses of the Deathspire node in Silent Reaches. With our numbers down, a combined attack of our enemies poses a significant threat to our entire Alliance. I am sure neither of us wants the events of Omega Ceti to ever repeat again.

You claim to accept with one hand, then accuse us of deception while you launch an unprovoked attack upon our gracious hosts with the other. We are a dying people, make no mistake, but similarly so do not think us powerless. We owe much to the Imperium. Perhaps if you listened with your ears instead of blinding yourself on the shine of your own sword, you would enjoy such relations. A hypothetical; would you sit idly by while dishonorable men attacked your allies? We think not. Stand your men down. There is no need for further bloodshed. We are still awaiting your representative. We are similarly awaiting one from House Savaaik. You have 23 hours and 28 minutes to send one, Admiral. If you do not wish to participate, you may very well stand alone in your reckless 'crusade.' So have you been warned."

If you do not wish to participate, you may very well stand alone in your reckless 'crusade.' So have you been warned." Valii is at war, gentlemen. Long before you ventured into these parts of space, the Deathspire Imperium, who you now call your "gracious hosts", attacked our ally, the Neo-Terran Republic. This attack was entirely unprovoked, and Deathspire eliminated the entire Neo-Teran fleet. And deaf to their cries, they started an orbital bombardment of their home world. This bombardment cost over a bilion innocent lives. To respond to your question: No, we didn't stand idly watching them die. An alliance has been forged between the Neo-Terran Republic, the Interstellar Kingdom of Talos, House Immara, House Savaaik, and many lesser Valii houses. We have sworn to banish the Imperium forever. Make no mistake, we do not want to prolong this war any more than necessary. But Deathspire's words and actions speak for themselves. If not for our blockade, they would roam the Nodes and cause even more bloodshed and destruction. Chose your allies carefully -- if you side with our enemy, we will consider you an enemy as well. After the recent events, we will not risk sending a high-ranked member of the Immara bloodline aboard your vessel. However, we are still open to negotiations as members of this alliance. We will open an FTL commlink with the Immara Stellar Council. House Savaaik has been advised of this as well, and they will do similarly. Choose a time convenient for you, as it takes a long time to estabilish this kind of link.

Your hypocrisy is staggering. You speak of stabbing in the back? You, who agreed to negotiations already? It has taken a great deal of persuasion to prevent my forces from pursuing you into this system and eradicating the pathetic remains of your fleet, and even more to make them give up their prisoners - but we have done so. What survivors there were on your side have been sent through the node.
The Remnant engaged your forces as they were in direct violation of all honourable conduct and a threat to the negotiations. As it is, your actions will have repercussions.
I will see you at the negotiating table.
And for the record, cease your lies. The Neo-terrans themselves informed us that the casualties were only a few million, not 'over a billion'.

To: House Saavik Ambassador From: Neo-Terran Senate Because your strike went so wonderfully didn't it? We have a ship in Silent reaches, we know what your casulaties were like, you risk provoking them after they agreed to talks, we're very lucky they don't recind that. Idiots among our own forces tried somthing similar, and they were cut down too, we'd hoped allied forces would learn from this mistake, but it seems we have not. Just remember your claims about them being monsters unable or unwilling to stop until we are all gone, and then look at your actions, dipsite being offered peace you charge a fleet in on some damn foolish crusade to cripple them, hows does it make you any different from the Imperium you say you are trying to stop?

Can we ask for fleet numbers, destination and intent? The situation in the west is difficult right now, we would need to know this information before we grant access.

Reply from Polaris, after a short delay:
We are currently in the middle of diplomatic negotiations, and so cannot disclose the details of our destination, however we assure you our intentions are not hostile. We will notify you of our fleet composition once it has been assembled and agreement has been reached on what should be sent.

<Message Begins>
I regret to inform you, Sylvan Savaaik, that I am currently under orders from the Admiralty to maintain my position in Sirenhold, and furthermore am under strict orders not to advance any further towards Deathspire. As you are most likely aware, there are diplomatic negotiations underway at the moment, and Talos does not seek to antagonize the Children by taking what could be construed as a hostile action.
However, your forces are more than welcome to join us in Sirenhold and assist us in enforcing the strict traffic lockdown in the system.

<Message Begins>
You are under strict orders to cut your drives and state your intentions in the Talos system. Any attempt to move further in-system, translate out, or activate active defenses or targeting will be met with swift and deadly force.
