Do we (in character) know which systems are occupied and which not? Do we know by whom?

Check the map for locations. I'd assume that no, you don't know each other straight out of the gate. First Contact is always fun, no?

I know. Emphasis on the "in character" part.

In character wise, unencropted FTL transmissions can filter through the node network, so you'll know there's -somthing- talking or was talking from the poitns where other players are on the map alright.

OK. Will send more ships.
Can I get a clarification in the Rules thread? Also please check end of page 4 for more yet unanswered questions.

So, what's the official policy on missed turns?

Probably same deal as always. You get resources (and timed research ticks over) but otherwise you count as having done nothing in that turn.

((Uh Ab? Income for the next turn is based on current holdings, not what you build/upgrade on a turn and current holdings. Everyones Turn 2 income should be the same as thier Turn 1 income)) I don't get it... explain please? I'm pretty sure the way Ab did it is the way it's been with CYOF in the past.

Well, you don't place what you built in a turn. The stuff you build would be active the next turn. He just got a turn ahead of himself, i think.

Well you see, just as you can move a ship on the turn it's build, a factory can't produce thigns on the turn it's build.
So if you built a factory on turn 1 it wouldn't start producing reasources until turn 2 which emans you don't get it's income until the start of turn 3.
Which is what I mean by incoming being based of current holdings, not the current holds + whatever you built in a turn.
