So you build something on turn one and it doesn't generate income until turn three? I still don't see why it wouldn't generate income the next turn, since can't you move units built the following turn?

Factories just have the one turn 'being built' limitation that's on everything.
Just like ships can't move or fight the turn they're build, neither can factories make stuff.
So just like in turn 2 you can now move and fight with your ships, your factories can now pump out PP to build stuff with.

Ah, so we are still doing the old "Buy on one turn, place on the other one" thing from CYOF? Nothing in the rules or example turns suggests that. Of course, I will adjust my income (and place my stuff on the next turn).

Aye, it was so ingrained into me I forgot to mention it.
I thought "Yea everyone knows the score with that"
Again, my fault there :<

I think what he means is:
I build something on turn one
I place it in turn two and get income at the end of turn two.
I get to spend income on turn 3

In that case, you're gonna have to edit your portion of the calculator, Ab.

Not exactly. In classical turn-based games people take turns doing their moves. In CYOF, you post your move in whatever order you happen to come online. I remember at least two occurances in the past when certain players took advantage of the system by either posting their turns immediately at the beginning of a turn period, or waiting until the end to see everyone else's turn first. I proposed a system to guard against some of the exploits (having to wait at least 6-12 hours between two successive turns of the same faction), but as far as I know that was never adopted.
I will fix the calculator ASAP.

I bought a bunch of ships and a station in turn 1. Can I place them in turn 2, move them in turn 2, and place the station in the system where they arrrive?

Question: Is it possible to enable some sort of a chat plugin on the forums, for personal comms? I've seen other forums have them, I don't know what's needed to set it up.
