Turn 23 Battle Results
The Showdown In Valii Space
In Regulus, Zivast and Valii itself Imperium forces attempt to clash with the Valii forces.
In the Valii system itself, the Imperium fleet moves to establish a blockade around the planet, with the Remnant Peacekeeping ships hovering between them and potential bombardment targets, The Valii intercetpor wings in the system immidetly retreat and are able to outrun the superior Imperium fighters and escape into SYS-7. Unfortunatly two Interceptor wings are lost to gravitational flux before the rest of the group arrives safly in Talos

In Regulus however the vast swarms of Imperium Interceptors are able to cut off the Valii as they attempt to retreat, cutting them down for a single loss themselves. With this victory complete the fleet moves to blockade the Zivast node.

The main engagment however takes place once again in the Zivast system. Knowing that the Imperium are coming the Valii forces evacuate the workers from thier stations and destroy them, leaving a group of CL-1's in thier place as they slink off to hide deeper in the asteroid field, the denser astroids offering more cover but serverly damaging several lighter vessals due to asteroid impacts.
The Imperium fleet jumps in and begins assuming it's attack formation, with the strke craft and ligther captial ships forming into 'arms' around the main bulk of a 'body' of the battleships and dreadnaughts. The arms proceed to make best speed for tee Valii fleet while the body advances cautiously into the system, keeping itself between he Valii fleet and the node.
Facing the prospect of annhilation at Imperium hands, many of the non-Saavik forces in the fleet begin to reconsider and the following forces stand down and surrender, under the condition they be allowed free passage back to Valii:

The Imperium honours thier agreement and the surrendering ships power down until the fight is over. However, the rest of the fleet chares straigth through the middle of the Imperium lines trying desperatly to fight through to teh Exaakon node.
Much of the intital fighing in the denser part of ther astroid feild takes it's tole on the lighter ships of both sides, the improved ranged of teh Valii only managing to squeeze in a handful of shots before both fleets converge.
A small Valii fleet of approximatly two Dreadnaughts six Carriers and two dozen battleships are able to breach the Imperium lines,seventy percent of thier number suffering terrible damage, and several more ships are lost on the way, msot spectacularly a CL-5 lost to bomber fire resulting in an explosion so large it takes several Imperium bombers with it.
The ragged survivours finally make the jump into Exaakon... only to run right into an Imperium blockade, they make a good accounting of themselves, but are ultimatly destroyed.

System 17 Exploration Results:
The massive exploration fleets exit into what was a dangerous nebula.
However, once emerged from the Jump Node it is clear that the Nebula is now completely gone. The system has been completely emptied and aside from the newly opened jump node, and a few bits of debris left over from earlier reconnaissance missions there is nothing here.

The Domain bases in Sumberhold are quiet, not firing at all when the Imperium ships move in, thier lighter forces moving to dock, though as soon as they do every Domain station in the system proceeds to self destruct, causing some damage to Imperium ships, but not destroying any.
