Turn 25 Battle Results
Slaughter of Polaris
The Imperium Fleet jumps into the system moving out in what's become the standard Imperium formation with teh bulk of the heavy captials surrounded by 'arms' of lighter ships, these arms proceed to encricle the Valii help prodction cenres in the Polaris sytem, and dispite he Polaris home guards requests to stand down.
Ignoring the pleas of the Valii station holders, who begin to evacuate, citing that the stations now rightfully belong to the Republic (Who prcoeed to move the RFS Gallant to try and close in)the Imperium ships open fire reducing the stations and thier stood down fighter guardians to molten slag.

The Imperium CL-5 breezes into the system, and ignoring the requests of Republic traffic control and flies right to the Hive cubes restricted space.

Turn 26 Battle Results
The Inevitable Encounter of UM002
The Imperium ships jump into the system, but it becomes apparent they're not in thier usual formation, instead they're all flying very close and tight, with teh Inevitable in the centre, the Talosian ships and the Imperiums own CL-5's covering as much space (Save the mioght gun barrel) as they can, with successive shells of lighter and lighter ships.
This isn't the only unusual thing in the system, as initial scans don't show any Hive ships, only a large debris field covering an area slightly deeper into the system.
However, upon a more through scan using the Talosian ships advanced sensor arrays picks up tell tale Hive power signatures in the debris and the fleet marks them as targets, holding formation as they move to engage, opening fire right away.
Thier initial plans scuppered the Hive ships scramble to battle readyness, thier heavy captials taking the brunt of the unexpexted enemy barrage, attempting to beam over as many drones as possible, mainly onto the Super Heavy captial ship, but this prooves difficult under teh heavy fire and the tight defensive formation of the Imperium only hinders matters.
Unable to get sufficant drones onto the Super heavy the Hive start beaming onto the lighter ships as the battle rages, the Tight formation hindering the Imperiums vessals as they try to break out as several medium captial ships become overwhelemed, thier reactors exploding dramtically, and leaving holes in the defensive formation, which the remaoning Hive ships swoop into, starting to beam aboard the Super Heavy directly now.
Unfortunatly these holes quickly turn into killing zones, though enough drones are beamed aboard the Super heavy to cause serious problems.
As the final Hive ships are desroyed, the Super Heavy remains stationary i space, it;s crew desperatly fighting against the invasindg drones, most of the rest of the fleet moves on to destroy the station and begin glassing the planet.

Imperium: (SHCL is effectivly disabled until Turn 28 due to intense internal fighting, even reinforcments won't speed this up due to the nature of gurerilla warfare on a ship that size)

Burning Worlds in UM003
The Imperium Fleet jumps into the system, and finding it unconestd move out to begin thier grim work.
Moving into orbit over the closest inhabited Hive world, the enire fleet begins systematically burning the lightly populated planets.
One by one thier surfaces are reduced to molten glass, atmoshperes choked and almost aflame with the bombardments, the Hive colines all totally destroyed.

Rematch in Arrakis
At the sight of the Neuromancer memorial, the Remnant and it's allies in the Imperium bunker down, ready to meet the Hive in battle over this station a second time.
However what comes through the Node is somthing no one could have anticipated, a large and apparently heavily damaged fleet of Neo-Terran Republic ships, being chased by the Hive CL-5s.
This sows great confusion among the Remnant and Imperium forces, as they attempt to make contact and verify the vessals ID's, locking thier sighs on teh Hive CL-5's. By the time the Remnant has confirmed witht eh Republic that these are not thier ships, the lighter imposter ships are already among the Remnant/Imperium fleet as the Imperium pulls away to begin advancing on the Hive CL-5's.
The Imposters reveal themselves to be holodisgused Hive ships, most of the CL-1's and 2's having made it to near thier oppnants fleets, surprising teh gunners and sowing chaos, causing cafrul battle lines to splinter, and leaving holes in the Imperium lines through to the Remnant captial ships.
The battle becomes a brutal melee, close range ship engagments, boarding parties, counter boarding parties all across the field of engagment, crippled or immently boarded ships on both sides self desctructing and ramming into thier oponents. Most spectaculalry is the Hives successful capture of one of the Imperium CL-5's, which turns it's deadly fire on the Remnant Super Carrier, slaicing the thinly armoured ship to pieces before it's brought down.
The Hive interecetpers however find only Imperium srike craft to engage, and diligently do so, but as the melee rages it turns out the Hive arn't the only ones with tricks up thier sleeves, the Remnant figths having hidden, deactivated, in space near the node, unnoticed until now. Swooping down on the beligued Hive ships, their conendtrated bomber fire melting through several Miedum and Heavy captial ships before the Hive even realises there are new waves of attackers.
Eventually, the Remnant/Imperium forces are victorius, though they've been badly beaten by the surprisng Hive menouver.

Unknown System Exploration Results:
The joint-fleet task force exits from a very unnatural calm jump node into a massive system. Scanners automatically pick up several planets within the system, and the sun itself is hotter than a normal Yellow-orange.
After the fleet begins to move, movement is picked up all around them ships of all varying shapes and sizes power up and hundreds of defense platforms begin firing at the fleet, systematically picking off whatever ships are within range. A massive fleet of ships at the opposite end of the system do a form of teleportation right within the middle of the exploration task force, blowing it apart from within.
The rest of the fleet makes a hasty exit back through the jump node, you have inflicted damage to them, but not as much as they did to you.
-66% ships(rounding down).
