The summary: Outnumbered and outgunned, the lone Deathspire ship fights with the viciousness of a cornered animal. All guns blazing, it manages to take down two Valiaas ships before its drive system detonates in a fiery explosion.

The summary: The Deathspire forces, upon being warned of the attack, begin preparations. All Battlestations and the two CL4s begin what is known as a Sunbirth Gambit. They fire their deathstun cannons at a single fixed point. When all the shots meet, the hydrogen atoms in them smash into each other at high speeds and is subjected to extremely high temperatures. The result is the hydrogen changing into helium, producing a small, short lived star. The down side is that they cannot target the enemy ships with their heavy weapons.
The Valiaas expected something like this and had their CL4's jump in ahead of the fleet. The Valiaas ships start to be literally dissolved by the intense heat of the miniature star. The CL4's seeing where the star is being generated from, manage to fire off three volleys at the star. This energy disrupts the star fusion reaction and the star explodes, destroying the 2 CL4s.
Then the majority of the Valiaas fleet jumps in and the DeathSpire forces, having been outside of the danger zone, began to retreat. All smaller capital ships began heading for the jumpnode for Silentreaches. Then the Valiaas's CL5s jump in and they begin to fire on the retreating ships, destroying some. The Deathspire Battlestations and CL4's cover the smaller ships retreat destroying a few Valiaas CL1s. The Valiaas fleet is hesitant about pursuing the retreating ships. They hold their fire as the Deathspire forces fall back to silent reaches.

Turn 9 Battle Results
The Union's Stand
The Union forces cluster around the Neuromancer, linking in thier point defence systems to a central network and readying thier misile tubes.
The Domain fleet enteres the fray first, a massive screen of everything but the Steel God itself and the bombers advanacing forwards, the Union meets this with all thier strike craft but twelve of their figther squads, creating the largest dogfight the galaxy has ever seen. Many Union bomber squads manage to punch through and unleash their payloads on the Steel God itself, though trailing intercetpors and the Steel Gods own massivly impressive firepower all but wipes them out, but the damage is done, the crippled god finally falling pray to missile fire from the Neuromancer's defenses.
The Unions celebration is shortlived however, as Domain Bombers have arced around the side of the massive dogfight to unleash a gods vengence on thier carriers, before being wiped out they are able to return the favour of wiping out the Union CL-5.
While all this is going on, the Hive fleet approaches from the other end of the system, moving thier entire fleet straight ontop of Neuromancer and teleporting seemingly endless waves of drones aboard as the Union clashes with this new threat, deploying counter boarding parties, one of which manages to desperatly fight thier way to the core of a CL-4 detonating it and taking out several smaller ships in the blast.
A similar fate befalls one of the Domain CL-4's the child of the god supverted and ramming into a second CL-4 obliterating both. Things look grim aboard Neuromancer, with seemingly endless waves of drones marching through the station to it's central processing core, and in a final act of defiance, they detonate the facility, taking out a good portion of the Hive fleet with the blast.
The remaining joint Hive-Domain ships finish off the last of the strike craft, leaving them victorious.
